Hi Evelyn! For my Personal Passion Project I have learnt sign language! I am currently teaching Kathleen! :) My granddad got meningitis when he was a baby and that's how he became fully deaf. Also my nana who passed away a couple years ago taught a t a deaf school and earned a Queen's Service Medal. Did you know that you can't be born deaf because of genetics, it could be because the mother got sick while pregnant or a person has been in an accident or gotten sick. My favourite part about learning sign language is that I can communicate with my granddad and that I get to learn a new language!
